  9. The ACL II+ intelligent multiport board from Star Gate Technologies, Inc. now
  10. offers faster onboard processing and more efficient data handling -- more than
  11. doubling system throughput on all channels. The eight-channel board's
  12. software-switchable DTE/DCE feature eliminates costly and time-consuming cable
  13. configurations. With a few simple keystrokes, users can convert each port from
  14. Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) to Data Communications Equipment (DCE). For most
  15. applications, a 80386 PC host can easily accommodate four standard ACL II+
  16. boards, supporting 32 active users or serial devices. the ACL II+ inserts into
  17. a 16-bit expansion slot of an IBM AT and 80286, 80386, and 80486 AT-class
  18. compatibles. The ISA device is EISA compatible. Choice of interfaces - RS-232,
  19. RS-422 and RS-485.
